What Is Jaw Pain?

Jaw pain can manifest in many surprising ways. If you are have jaw pain you may be experiencing pain in the face that worsens when the jaw is used, a limited range of motion in the jaw, jaw alignment problems, clicking or popping when the jaw is being used, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), ear aches, headaches, dizziness, jaw locking or painful teeth. What Causes Jaw Pain?

Jaw pain can be caused by TMJ disorder, teeth grinding or clenching of the jaw, opening your mouth too wide, arthritis, dental conditions, sinus problems and more. A physiotherapist is specially trained to assess the cause of the pain, and treat it accordingly.
