Elbow pain physio Frankston

Elbow symptoms with gripping, lifting or work

Gripping tools, lifting a bag, working at a desk or returning to sport may all place demands on a sore elbow. Your appointment focuses on the movements and loads that affect your symptoms, with advice and exercise tailored to those tasks.

What your elbow assessment may include

Symptoms may involve a tendon, joint, ligament, bursa or nearby nerve, and pain can sometimes be referred from the neck. Ash will discuss how the problem started and assess relevant elbow, wrist, shoulder and neck movement, strength and load tolerance.

Treatment and return to activity

Your plan may include education, temporary changes to aggravating tasks, hands-on physiotherapy, mobility work and progressive strengthening of the elbow, wrist or shoulder. Dry needling may be considered as one part of physiotherapy when clinically appropriate and with your consent.
