Chronic Pain Physio Frankston

One-to-one physiotherapy for persistent pain

Pain that lasts beyond expected healing can affect sleep, work, exercise and confidence. Ash Samarakoon, Master of Physiotherapy, provides one-to-one assessment and treatment in Frankston for persistent pain and the movement problems that can come with it.

Persistent pain is personal

Persistent pain can be influenced by tissue health, nervous-system sensitivity, a previous injury, sleep, stress, activity levels and other health factors. The pain is real. Assessment focuses on understanding your individual pattern rather than promising one quick fix.

What your assessment may include

Ash will discuss your symptoms, health history, daily activities and goals, including what aggravates or eases the pain. Assessment may include relevant movement, strength, joint and neurological tests. If a medical review or further investigation may be appropriate, Ash will explain why.

A practical treatment plan

Your plan may include pain education, paced activity, graded exercise, strength and movement work, hands-on physiotherapy and practical strategies for daily life. Dry needling may be considered as one part of physiotherapy when clinically appropriate and with your consent. Progress and timing vary between people, so treatment is not presented as a guaranteed cure or a fixed number of appointments.
