Shoulder Pain

What Is Shoulder Pain?

Shoulder pain usually occurs when you are moving your shoulder, or it can be constant and unaffected by movement.

What Causes Shoulder Pain?

Depending on the cause of your shoulder pain, it can be accompanied by restricted shoulder movement and weakness in the shoulder muscles. It can be caused by rotator cuff tendonitis, rotator cuff tear, sprain or strain in the shoulder, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) or impingement syndrome in which the tendons of your shoulder become trapped during movement.

Of course there are many other causes of shoulder pain, and to best determine why you are experiencing pain in your shoulder, it is best to come in and see us for a new client initial consultation to assess your physiotherapy needs.
